Accurate as-built drawings and surveys you can build on.
Many firms call this kind of work by different names — Measured Survey, Dimensional Survey, Full Survey, As-built Survey, 3D Survey, and so on.
So, the first thing we do when we receive an enquiry is clarify exactly what you want and, more importantly, what your end goal is. If your goal is purely to confirm property size, then please take a look at our Area Calculations service.
Here's what we offer...
If you’re planning to alter an existing building or build anew, your architect, planner, or contractor (and often your local planning authority) will want a clear set of existing drawings showing the property as it stands. These include:
Site plan with topography
Floor plans (existing layout)
Loft / roof plans
Elevations (front, side, rear façade) with partial views of neighbouring properties for context
Sections (cut-through views of your property and site)
...and here's how we do it!
1
We visit your property and carry out measurements in accordance with current RICS measurement guidelines.
2
We use the most suitable equipment: handheld laser measures, total stations, or 3D laser scanners.
3
Back at the office, we process the raw data and produce the required drawings using CAD (we use Autodesk AutoCAD, an industry standard).
4
If you prefer, we can also supply paper versions of your drawings (yes, old school still counts!).
